How to Play Poker
Poker is typically played with a standard 52-card deck, and the goal is to make the best five-card hand using your own cards and shared community cards.
Betting Rounds: Poker is divided into betting rounds, where players place bets based on the strength of their hands. The goal is to win chips from other players by either having the best hand or by convincing others to fold.
Community Cards: In games like Texas Hold’em, players share community cards placed face-up on the table. Players combine their hole cards with the community cards to form the best possible hand.
The Showdown: If there are still multiple players after the final betting round, the remaining players reveal their hands. The player with the best hand wins the pot.

Types of Bet88 Poker Games
We offer a variety of poker game types, including:
- Texas Hold’em
Description: Texas Hold’em is the most popular poker variant. Each player receives two private cards (known as hole cards) and shares five community cards. The goal is to make the best five-card hand using any combination of hole cards and community cards.
Betting Rounds:
- Pre-flop, post-flop: The First Three Community Cards
- Post-turn: The Fourth Community Card
- Post-river: The Fifth and Final Community Card
- Omaha
Description: Similar to Texas Hold’em, but each player is dealt four hole cards instead of two. Players must use exactly two hole cards and three community cards to make the best hand.
- Betting Rounds: Pre-flop, post-flop, post-turn, post-river.
- Short Deck Poker
Description: In Short Deck Poker (also known as 6+ Hold’em), the deck is reduced to just 36 cards, with all cards ranked 2 through 5 removed. Players are dealt two hole cards, and five community cards are dealt in the center, similar to Texas Hold’em. The game follows similar rules to Texas Hold’em but with altered hand rankings due to the smaller deck. Straights are ranked higher than flushes, and the absence of low cards changes the odds of forming various hands.
Betting Rounds: There are four rounds of betting:
- Pre-Flop: After hole cards are dealt, players place their bets based on their hand strength.
- Flop: Three community cards are dealt face-up, and players place another round of bets.
- Turn: A fourth community card is dealt, followed by a round of betting.
- River: The fifth and final community card is dealt, and players place their final round of bets before the showdown.
